Οδυσσέας Ελύτης — Επιλογή ζωής: Σαντορίνη
Ο Ελύτης θα διάλεγε τη Σαντορίνη, γιατί το αιγαιοπελαγίτικο φως αποτελεί τον πυρήνα της ποίησής του. Το νησί, με τη λευκή αρχιτεκτονική και το έντονο φυσικό τοπίο, θα του προσέφερε τη διαρκή αίσθηση καθαρότητας και ελευθερίας που αναζητούσε.
Η ποίησή του είναι γεμάτη ήλιο, θάλασσα, έρωτα και ελληνικότητα.
Ο Ελύτης πίστευε ότι η ομορφιά μπορεί να λειτουργήσει ως δύναμη αντίστασης απέναντι στη βαρβαρότητα.
Στο «Άξιον Εστί» συνέδεσε την προσωπική εμπειρία με τη συλλογική ιστορία του ελληνικού λαού. Η γλώσσα του είναι μουσική και φωτεινή, γεμάτη εικόνες του Αιγαίου.
Η Σαντορίνη θα του επέτρεπε να ζει μέσα σε αυτό το φως που τόσο συχνά εξυμνούσε. Για τον Ελύτη, το ελληνικό τοπίο δεν είναι διακόσμηση αλλά πνευματική εμπειρία. Η ζωή δίπλα στο Αιγαίο θα ήταν φυσική συνέχεια της ποίησής του.

JPS uses the extreme angle of this broken stone as the setup. The sharply dressed painted Michael's figure appears to defy gravity as it could be in reality. The piece fits the site-specific illusion work documented on the artist’s official JPS website, where ordinary surfaces become part of the scene instead of just a backdrop.
JPS stands for Jamie Paul Scanlon. His official biography says he was born in 1977 in Weston-super-Mare, near Bristol, and that seeing stencil art in Bristol became a turning point in his path toward street art.
